SUNSETH MIDNIGHT Hard At Work On Debut Album
March 19, 2005Brazilian gothic metal band SUNSETH MIDNIGHT are currently in the studio recording their debut album, entitled "Sun Seth", tentatively due this summer via Hellion Records. The band have finished tracking all the instrumentation at the Sunseth Boulevard Studios in São Paulo, Brazil and now singer Roger Lombarddi is recording his parts at Carbonos Studios in São Paulo.
"We spent the last months in recordings, laying down tracks for the album. It was pretty intense, but hard work pays off, because we're getting great results", stated guitarist/vocalist Ricardo Campos, who is producing the album with Theo Vieira (keyboards and vocals).
In addition to continuing the recordings for their debut album, the band are also rehearsing for two big shows they are scheduled to perform next month in São Paulo. "We are not going to rush anything but just take our time to make everything as perfect as possible in the studio, but we could have not refused the invitation and the chance to play in front of more than five thousand people in the 7th edition of the traditional 'Thorns Gothic' [festival], with bands like DAS ICH from Germany and other acts like MAELSTRÖM, 3 COLD MEN and CRIPPLED BALLERINAS," said lead singer Roger Lombarddi.
As previously reported, demo versions of the tracks "The Night's Still Young", "Stop Haunting Me", "Burning The Night For You" and "The Bat" — recorded by bass player Ricardo Piccoli last year at the Sunseth Boulevard Studios — can currently be downloaded from the "Download" section of the band's official web site.
